The lineup covers four vehicle categories. Personal golf carts for residential buyers, gated community use, and neighborhood access. Max-EV Low-Speed Vehicles, sold in 2-door and 4-door models, which are street-legal on public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or lower. The Max-EV ORV, a 4-door electric off-road vehicle for unpaved terrain and trail use. Commercial and utility carts for fleet buyers, resorts, campuses, and facility operations. All vehicles run on electric power. See the full lineup on the Golf Carts, Electric Vehicles, and Commercial Carts pages.
A golf cart is not registered as a motor vehicle. It carries no VIN, receives no title, and is not covered by motor vehicle insurance. Golf carts are not legal on most public roads in New York. A Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a federally defined vehicle class. LSVs carry a VIN, go through DMV title and registration, and are built to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards covering seat belts, headlights, mirrors, and horn. An LSV is road-legal on streets where the posted limit is 35 mph or under. The Max-EV 2-door and Max-EV 4-door are both LSVs. If driving on a public road matters to you, those are the models to ask about.
Yes. The Max-EV 2-door and 4-door LSV models are road-legal. They carry a VIN, are titled through the DMV, and meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for headlights, seat belts, mirrors, and horn. They are legal on roads posted at 35 mph or under. Standard golf carts are not street-legal and cannot be titled or registered as motor vehicles. The Max-EV ORV is also not street-legal. If your primary question is whether you can drive on a public road, ask about the LSV models when you contact us.
Contact us by phone or form with a general sense of what you need. We ask about use case, body style, seating, and what you want on the build. From there we narrow down the spec: color finish, wheel and tire package, audio, lighting, and cargo options. Once the spec is set, we confirm the order and build it. There is no catalog to pick from. Every golf cart comes out of that spec conversation. Full process details are on the Custom Builds page.
Color finish including solid, two-tone, and vinyl wrap. Seat count and upholstery material. Wheel and tire package, with street, turf, and all-terrain options available. Bluetooth audio and weatherproof speaker systems. LED lighting packages including under-glow and headlight upgrades. Windshields and hard or soft enclosures. Cargo flatbeds, tow hitches, and storage add-ons. What is available depends on the base platform. We go through the full option list with you when you contact us.
The Max-EV ORV is a 4-door electric off-road vehicle. It is built for unpaved roads, rough terrain, and outdoor access routes where a standard golf cart or a street-legal LSV would not perform. It runs on an ORV-grade frame with higher ground clearance than a cart or LSV. A cargo dump bed is available for load-carrying use. The ORV is not road-legal. Typical uses include property access, agricultural terrain, and outdoor recreational routes. See full specs on the Max-EV ORV page.
Yes. Fleet and commercial orders are available. Cowboy Carts works with resorts, campuses, HOA communities, industrial facilities, and security operations. Passenger and cargo setups can be mixed within a fleet order. Contact us with your vehicle count and intended use and we will go through options. See fleet vehicle details on the Commercial Carts page.
The Go-4 Interceptor is a three-wheeled enclosed electric patrol vehicle built by Westward. It is designed for security patrol routes, parking enforcement, and facility access management. The enclosed cab makes it functional for extended outdoor shifts in varied weather conditions. Camera mounts and light bar attachments fit the platform. The Go-4 is road-legal. See full details on the Go-4 Interceptor page.
